EduPay calculates backpay relating to cost of living increases on all occupational pay received by the employee during the backpay period.
In addition, backpay is also applied to the first 6 weeks of statutory maternity pay, if the leave continues during any part of the backpay period. As Statutory paternity leave is a set value, employees are not entitled to backpay on this amount.
Cost of living backpay relating to maternity and paternity will be displayed in the Employees Pay Elements tab in the month that Cost of living is Approved in BPS:
