This process can only be completed by users with the Administrator, Payroll Manager or Manager roles.
- Go to the Employee record
- Select the Calendar tab
- Select ‘Neonatal care leave’ from the dropdown
- Select ‘Add Leave’
- Record the following:
- First Day of Care Leave
- Last Day of Care Leave
- If the first day of care leave is within 7 days of the neonatal stay ending, leave can be booked in blocks of 7 days
- If the first day of care leave is 8 or more days after the neonatal stay ending, the employees entitlement must be taken in a single block
- All neonatal care leave must be booked in blocks of 7 days
- Calculate
- This will calculate the Statutory and Occupational (if applicable) pay due to the employee based on the leave book
- This information can be displayed by week or month, and can be printed
- The Reclaim value (92% of the employees’ Statutory pay) is also displayed
- On Save, the booked leave will be displayed in the employees’ Calendar tab. The entitlement used and remaining will be updated. Booked leave will be shown in pink on the employees’ calendar:
Once the NCPL leave has been entered it can be edited or deleted at any point up until leave is taken.
Note that:
- Neonatal Care Leave cannot be taken at the same time as Maternity or Paternity Leave, or Shared Parental Leave
