In an employees timeline you may see that there is an award date on a timeline which is withholding the new scale point from being paid.
The award date pulls directly from the job role itself, you will see an increment month and an award month (award month is usually one month ahead)
Essentially if the employee is incrementing from point 28 to 29 then they will not automatically increase, it gives the freedom of manually approving / agreeing that the employee is due to increase
How to Approve the increment?
To agree that an employee should increase a scale point you will need to navigate to the dashboard in Edupay where you will see a "salary increase" tab.
In here you will see a list of employees that are due to be increased, simply tick the employees name and click Confirm.
(For privacy reasons I have not included employees names in the below screenshot)
How can the increase be automatically actioned without manually approving?
If you wish for any point increments to automatically apply without navigating to the salary increase screen you will need to set the increment cycle and the award month to be the same i.e. April and April.
(This process is done per job role.)
After you have made this change you will need to navigate into the employees timeline and delete the line that has an award date by clicking the red cross. Then re-enter the same details i.e. hours, weeks worked etc at the bottom of the page and add.
You will then notice the award date disappears and the employee will increase a scale point without needing to be manually approved.
